Jos Uiterwijk's Curriculum Vitae
- November 9, 1954: born at Maastricht, The Netherlands
- From September 1973 - October 1980: studied Chemistry at the University of Nijmegen, The Netherlands,
with specialization in the field of Theoretical Chemistry; graduated in October, 1980.
- From December 1980 - December 1984: associated as scientific assistent to the Department of
Physical Chemistry at the University of Twente, Enschede, The Netherlands.
- January 11, 1985: received the Ph.D. degree after defending a thesis entitled
Complexation of Crown Ethers with Organic Molecules: an X-ray crystallographic and molecular
mechanics study. Promotor: Prof.dr. D. Feil.
- From January 1985 - June 1988: worked as a "freelance" researcher at the same department.
- From September 1985 - June 1988: studied Computer Science at the same university. Graduated
(cum laude) in June 1988, on a master's thesis entitled Conversion between Analytic and
Non-Analytic Proofs in Artificial Intelligence.
- From June 1988 - December 2000: Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Universiteit Maastricht, The Netherlands.
- From January 2001 onwards: Associate Professor at IKAT (the Department of Computer Science), Universiteit Maastricht, The Netherlands,
and coordinator of the Search and Games research group.
