RESEARCH

Keetie's research efforts focus on poverty measurement, child poverty and social protection policy. She is currently conducting research towards the measurement of child poverty in Vietnam, contracted by UNICEF Vietnam. She has worked on the development of a child well-being index for Moldova and a framework for the construction of child poverty approaches. Research questions include the definition of child poverty, measurement issues with respect to multidimensional child poverty, overlap between monetary and multidimensional measures of child poverty and explanatory factors for child poverty. Other research efforts have focused on social policies and social protection programmes in Europe as well as developing countries from a comparative and theoretical perspective.
