I'm a freshman at Mead High School in Spokane WA. For those of you who know me, you probably remember how popular I was not. All that has changed and for once I have lots of friends. New couples transfering to Asir include Ron and Sandy Hoover, who have been at Yanbu for the past three years, Joe and Cathy Moore, also transferring from Yanbu, and Pam and Vargie Johnson, who have worked the past two years in Barcelona. Many of you probably still remember the Schroeders, Pinkstons, Huiets, Friedrichs, Fuglies, and Stameys. They are still teaching in Asir. The school added a full band program two years ago, and is planning to add a small tools "shop" style class sometime this year.
More later! Bruce Hudson

Shahriar (SOJIB) Rahman - firstname.lastname@example.org - THIS IS UNBELIEVEABLE! Last week, I quite serendipitously bumped into an old friend and Asir alumni Faisal Reza in Queens, NYC, who told me that he found an Asir Academy Website! I had to see for myself!
I went to Asir Academy for my entire elementary and middle school education, from 1rst grade to 9th (from '85 to '93. Whew!). I was in fact a member of the last graduating class of Asir Academy before it got moved to MK-1(was it MK-1?). I still cherish the many memories that I have about Asir. Throughout my stay there I had the pleasure of being surrounded by a truly extraordinary legion of educators: Mr. and Mrs. Irvine, Mr. and Mrs. Farmer, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley, Mr. and Mrs. Barker, Mr. Latzke, Mr. Schroeder, Mr. Beisel, Mrs. Storm, Mrs. Hudson, Mrs. Johnson (my 1rst grade teacher).... the list goes ON and ON...
I enjoyed the close friendship with the members of my graduating class --I have preserved the class photo carefully on my shelf-- as well as many other Asir students. In my memory, their names run like a list: Peter Williams (Peter and I were the only two students in 8th grade for a while when the war broke out--imagine that! Almost every girl between the ages of 11 to 14 in the Khamis Mushet Province had a crush on this guy at some point. Bastard.), Crystal, Erika, Brandon Barnes, Michael Gray (kick-ass goalie!), Michael Rasmussin, Fiona O'Reilly (Wonder what happened to that smart chic? I always remember her being one grade ahead of me, since 1RST GRADE!), Jennifer Delong, Mike White, Sarah Williams (OK. So everyone knows I had a crush on Peter's sister. Big deal.), Khalid (Iman's brother and Sarah's boyfriend.), Iman (Who can forget her? Peter's girlfriend.), Shoma and Shupa Khan (who will no doubt laugh their heads off when they come upon this posting.), and a countless ot!
Roxy Burton - email@example.com - Wow! Great job on the web site, I'm still recovering from the shock...what a wodnerful idea!!! My father worked for McDonnel Douglas, I was in Asir Academy from 1995-1996. I never did enjoy my time in the compound, because there were hardly anything to do besides, smoke some joint...but ofcourse I wasn't one of them who did that. I loved everyone at the compound, especially the workers, they were really nice compared to people in the states. Even though it was really hot there during the summer, plus women couldn't get dressed-up outside the compounds, it was no doubt the most memorable part of life. I graduated there when I was in 9th grade, now I'm a freshman in college...how time flies so quickly. For all the people that might be reading this and you were part of the class of 1996, "Ma'a As-salama"!!!
Jason Martin - firstname.lastname@example.org - My brother (Alex Martin) wasn't kidding, this site does exist!!! I attended from 83-86 with Mrs. Bickham, Mrs. Johnson, and Mrs. Myer. I've got some great pictures of Halloween back in 84. I've got one of Carlos dressed up as Skelator and Katie Doyle dressed as Cheer Bear (I'll be sure to post these soon. I miss all of you and I've got nothing but fond memories of Asir. Write soon!
Alex Martin - email@example.com - Wow! This is unbelievable! Was slow at work tonight and typed in Asir Academy...and here I am! I attended from 83 - 86 then moved back to the US. Have a Sister (Janet Martin) and Brother (Jason Martin) who also attended there. Have lots of great memories...A.J. Treats "infamous" breakdancing, being in Mrs. Farmers production "The Puberty Blues", Slave day, ahhh, the memories! Living near St. Louis now. Also Tony Browning and Damon Stephens live here. Damon is a police officer (whod'a thought!) here in the town of St. Peters. I would love to be able to contact my best friend when I was there, Khurram Khan. Nice to see everyone again and hope we can talk! Take care!
David Wisinger - Davidw@ltkalmar.se - I happened to stubble upon this site by pure accident. I attendet asir from 81 - 89. I guess that I'm one of the real veterens. Carlos Rios - email@example.com - Wow! I can't believe that there's a site for my former school! I attended Asir Academy from 1983-1986. I started in the latter part of 1st grade and left at the beginning of 4th grade. I remember all my teachers very well. Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Myer, Mrs. Gestaut, and Mrs. Irvine. I lived in the MDS compound (cluster 5 and then moved to cluster 8). After leaving I went back to California, which is where I currently live. I'll never forget my childhood in Khamis. I had a lot of great memories there. It's the only place where I was able to take a picture with Santa Claus and his CAMEL! By the way, is it still the Asir Vipers? Well, good luck with the site . . .
Crystal Kuttim - firstname.lastname@example.org - Hi. My brother (Brian Kuttim) and I went to Asir Academy from 1989-1997. I remember Mr. Irvine and Mrs. Irvine and people that I talk to now. I've kept in touch with the people that I talked to from grades 6-9. I'm now in New Jersey and I would like you to contact me, if you remember who I am. I really liked it there and I miss everyone a lot. We're going to have a reunion with a couple of people this summer. We're not sure where and exactly when but we'll find out soon. It's going to be neat when we all see how everyone has changed.
Bruce Hudson - email@example.com - I worked at Asir Academy from August, 1980 through June, 1982, and remember well Alex and Katie Doyle, and David Wisinger! I am again working at the "new" Asir Academy on PS-1, as the Principal! Norma, my wife is the Vice-Principal. We have been here three years. We have a son, Ryan, in the Eighth grade, and a daughter, Carrie, in the Fifth. It is great to see that many people remember what great places Asir Academy and the Khamis area have been over the years! I will check this site often. Please look for our new website, which will be available soon, for a view of the most recent happenings at Asir Academy!
Tod Persellin - firstname.lastname@example.org - Nice job with the site! My wife and I taught in Asir from 1996-98, and boy have things changed since most of you were there! We had many interesting and fun adventures in the Asir, and will share with anyone who might be interested. Ma'asallama
Sam Caddey - email@example.com - Went to asir in 95-96 and i was in year 7 and 8. Some people might remember me. I am coming back over to Saudi in a few weeks. I will be on nassiam compound. I am now in australia and i am going to boarding school. I have been going scince year 8. I can't remember any of my teachers names excep Mr and Mrs Schcetti(SEE I STILL CAN"T SPELL) I think they arwe still there.

Barry Farmer - email@example.com - Nice site Harry, I've Emailed the teachers I have addresses for.
Katie Doyle - firstname.lastname@example.org - I went to pre-school on the Northrup Compound in Khamis Mushayt and completed kindergarten (with Mrs. Bickham) as well as half of first grade (with Mrs. Johnson) at Asir Academy. My family (including brother Alex Doyle, who also studied at Asir Academy) left Saudi Arabia in January of '85, so my first grade year must have started in the fall of '84. Alex and I lived on Avenue C of the compound... In short, I'd love to hear from anyone who remembers school at Asir. Please write.
