By public transport:

The easiest way to reach the faculty of Economics and Business Studies in Maastricht is often public trainsport. Take the train to Maastricht Central Station (CS). From there you can take busses number 3, 4, 9 and 12. Ask the bus driver to let you out at busstop "Tongersestraat". The bus stop is just across the street from the main entrance to the faculty (Tongersestraat 53).

By car:

From the north (Eindhoven/ Amsterdam/ Aachen):

Follow A2 until the highway (temporarily) "ends" at the red lights at the city limits of Maastricht. Continue driving straight on the President Rooseveltlaan / Koningsplein / Oranjeplein / Nassaulaan through a number of red lights following the signs to A2 Liege/Luik. Just before the street becomes highway A2 again, take the exit direction Centrum. Go straight over the Kennedybrug (Kennedybridge) and follow the street (Prins Bisschopsingel) until you reach a large roundabout (Tongerseplein). Here you take the first street to the right which is the Tongersestraat. The faculty is the first large building on the right. You can find the main entrance after you have passed the entire building. Walk through the large port and cross the parking lot. The porter can assist you with finding the person you need to see.

Parking is difficult to find in the vicinity of the building. There are a number of paid parking places on the Tongersestraat (Fl 2,- per hour) or the underground parking garage at the "Vrijthof". Sometimes we can arrange parking in our own parking lot if you inform us well in advance of your coming.

From the south (Liege, Belgium):

Take A2 from Liege into Maastricht until the highway ends at the city limits of Maastricht. Take the exit Centrum / N 278 and follow the signs to Centrum. Go over the Kennedybrug (Kennedybridge) and follow the street (Prins Bisschopsingel) until you reach a large roundabout (Tongerseplein). From the south (Diepenbeek, Belgium):

Take E 313 direction Liege. Take the first exit Bilsen/ Maastricht. Follow signs to Maastricht. Once you have entered the city limits of Maastricht follow signs towards center (Via Regia). At the smaller roundabout St. Annadal you take a left into St Annalaan. At the next roundabout (Emmaplein) you have reached the inner ring (The Emmaplein is recognizable by the large church next to it). Take a right here (Hertogsingel). At the next roundabout (Tongerseplein) follow the roundabout 3/4 and enter the Tongeresestraat.

By airplane:

Maastricht/Aachen:

Fly into Maastricht/Aachen and take a Taxi to the University. Unfortunately there is very little public transportation from and to the airport.

Brussels (Zaventem), Belgium:

The nearest international ariport is Brussel. From there you can take the train (ca 2 h, follow instructions above) to Maastricht or However you can also arrange for an airport taxi (let somebody at UM arrange this for you several days in advance) which can get you to Maastricht in 1 h. Prices vary depending on the number of other passengers.

Amsterdam (Schiphol):

Amsterdam is a bit further away then Brussels but has better train connections to Maastricht. Thus, the train takes app. 2.5 h to Maastricht but the Taxi is more expensive and takes a lot longer. The airport taxi from Amsterdam/ Schiphol (let somebody at UM arrange this for you several days in advance) takes 2 h. Prices vary depending on the number of other passengers.
