I work in the Department of Metajuridica of the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands.

My research interests include legal theory, in particular legal logic, legal epistemology, including the methods of legal science, and legal ontology, including the general concepts of (private) law.

I participate in the Ius Commune Research School in the program 'Foundations of Private Law'.
