About me

I am currently a Ph.D. candidate at Maastricht University, working in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. My research focused on the development of Monte-Carlo Tree Search techniques. I have been using the game of Go as main test-bed, and also worked on Production Management Problems, Backgammon, Settlers of Catan, and Poker.

I graduated from the engineer school Ecole Centrale de Lille where I studied between 2002 and 2005. During my last year, I simultaneously did a Master in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of     Lille 1.

My current research goals are to develop the strongest possible Go program (MoGo), and new general techniques for Monte-Carlo Tree Search that can be applied to any domain.

My current hobbies are to make 3d movies and burning man projects.
